Mario Kart 64 (マリオカート64 Mario Kāto Rokujūyon?) is a 1996 go-kart racing game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 video game console. It is the successor to Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and is the second Mario Kart game. It was released first in Japan on December 14, 1996 and in North America and Europe in 1997. In January 2007, Mario Kart 64 was released as a downloadable Virtual Console title on the Wii.[2] Changes from the original include the move to polygon-based true 3D computer graphics for track design, and the inclusion of four-player support. Players take control of characters from the Mario universe, who race around a variety of tracks with items that can either harm opponents or aid the user. The move to three-dimensional graphics allowed for track features not possible with the original game's Mode 7 graphics, such as changes in elevation, bridges, walls, and pits. However, the characters and items remained 2D pre-rendered sprites. The game was critically well received and was a best-seller although the game's use of billboard sprites was criticized by some.

Mario Kart 64 is the sequel to Super Mario Kart for the Super NES & began what is one of the most popular Nintendo racing games today. This game features about 8 characters (Excuse me if I'm wrong. I haven't played it in a while.)
With this being one of the first racing games for the N64, this game featured the Rumble feature. Later until now, practically all N64 games use the Rumble feature. This game was one of the best I've played on the N64 besides Super Smash Bros.

Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver are remakes of the original Gold & Silver games released in 1999 with further aspects which were introduced in Crystal in 2000. As these games are remakes of Gold & Silver, they will feature both Johto & Kanto and follow the storyline of you as a new trainer, going through the gyms of Johto and Kanto, and winding up needing to thwart a Team Rocket plot to takeover the world with their Pokémon. Even though it will follow closely on the basics of Pokémon Gold & Silver, there are a variety of new features brought into these remakes. Firstly, all the game mechanics are brought up to the 4th generation standards. Second, one of the major new features is that you can have any Pokémon follow you in the games. This way, you can truely personalise your experience. In addition to this, it also includes many aspects from the game Pokémon Crystal such as the Suicune Storyline. HeartGold & SoulSilver feature a variety of special areas and Pokémon activated by special event Pokémon including access to the Sinjoh Ruins and a special event in Ilex Forest featuring Celebi.
